As a petite girl who typically fits better into clothing from the kids section than my age, lingerie was always my go-to when shopping. It was pretty easy to find something that made me feel pretty and actually fit.
Now that I’m older and have a lot more knowledge on well-fitting lingerie I can for sure tell you that not all lingerie stores are created equal or for every body type. And to be honest, I actually love that!
As a boudoir photographer who has worked with women from all over the country and in all shapes and sizes, I often get asked these common lingerie questions:

Their lingerie is always gorgeous with amazing detail and super unique pieces. I’ve purchased their pieces for myself as well as the studio closet and I’ve never been disappointed.

I love that Honey Birgette offers a wide range of sizes, especially for the hourglass petite woman. I know there is an outcry in the plus-size world when stores don’t have their sizes, but on the other end of the spectrum, many petite girls with curves cannot find their bra size in anything other than a bra that looks like something your grandmother might wear.
I promise that won’t be in issue here! Most of their bras you can find in band size 32 through 38 with a select few bras and chemises in size 40. But the wonderful part is is that even at the smaller band sizes they still have larger cup sizes available!

I would compare their lingerie to the uniqueness and quality of La Perla and agent provocateur, but without the intense price tag. You can expect to pay more than your average Victoria’s Secret set, but girl I promise you will be blown away by their lingerie!

Honey Birdette Amelie Collection Review
I purchased the Honey Birdette Amelie lingerie set in the neon pink color and holy cow is it a showstopper!! It’s such a beautiful color that somehow is very bright yet soft and delicate at the same time.
It hugs your curves perfectly and is an unexpected choice for your boudoir session. I love the colors and lace against a neutral background.
The fit is true to size and not itchy or uncomfortable. Anna wore it for her session and her blonde hair and smokey eye makeup really make it pop.
Honey Birdette Alice Collection Review
The Honey Birdette Alice lingerie set is the perfect mix of elegant and provocative, with European designed embroidery, sheer tulle, and lace-up details. I love how the lace florals are placed further apart, showing more skin and giving it a dramatic appearance. The fit is true to size with just enough wiggle room.
It looks great on different skin types and hair colors as you can see from Anna’s session (blonde hair) and Erin’s session (brunette hair).

Trying to find the right size bra or lingerie piece can be a daunting task, especially if you’ve never purchased from a brand and can’t try it on before buying. Packages are shipped in a discreet, unmarked box and your items come wrapped in a black satin case.

I’ve never had any issues with damaged boxes, lost packages, or super long delivery dates.
US Shipping Rates:

Returns
As with any undergarment return policy, items cannot be returned if A. they have been worn (because hygiene) or B. washed (because that means you wore it, so refer back to A.) The original tags must be also be attached. I haven’t had to return any pieces yet because I’ve been very happy with all my purchases. If something I purchased for myself ended up not fitting or I didn’t like it, I just add it to my boudoir studio closet (unworn of course. ;))
PRO TIP: When trying on lingerie, always wear your underwear underneath for sanitary reasons. I always bring a nude thong so I can get a better feel for what it will “really look like.”

How To Clean Honey Birdette Lingerie
All of my pieces from Honey Birdette have lasted so long, even with multiple girls trying them on and wearing them, because I take extra care of them!
In general, all lingerie will need to be hand-washed in cold water or run through the washing machine on the delicate cycle in a special garment bag. You can purchase these lingerie bags from just about anywhere and they help protect the delicate lace, silk, and straps from getting damaged.
PRO TIP: Always lay lingerie flat to dry. I recommend placing them on a white towel to avoid any color transfer while the fabric is wet.
Final Recommendation
Overall, I definitely recommend purchasing your lingerie and boudoir outfits from Honey Birdette. Not only do they offer amazing lingerie, but I personally love their provocative, well-lit ad campaigns and love that they also get involved in women’s issues, when frankly, they don’t have to as a lingerie company.
